Snow Falls in Aparan: Weather Conditions on Armenian Highways

The Rescue Service announces that there are closed sections of roads in the territory of Armenia. Due to renovation works on the M-6 highway, the section near Vanadzor-Alaverdi between kilometers 38-40 will be closed for buses and trucks with trailers or semi-trailers until February 15. A detour route will be operational through the city of Noyemberyan.

In the Aragatsotn region, the roads leading from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kary are closed. Snow is falling in the Aparan region.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information received from the Emergency Situations Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation for North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
