Road Closures: Current Situation on Highways

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. Until February 15, due to road renovation works, the section of the M-6 highway between Vanadzor and Alaverdi, at approximately kilometers 38-40, will be closed for buses and freight vehicles with trailers or semi-trailers. A detour route will be available through the city of Noyemberyan.

Closed roads in the Aragatsotn region include those leading from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari.

Regarding the Lars situation, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the North Ossetia Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
