It is Unacceptable to Make Openly Malicious Statements: Peskov
“All actions prescribed by the legislation of the Russian Federation to investigate the death of opposition figure Alexei Navalny are being carried out,” stated Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.
He added that an investigation is ongoing, but its results have not yet been published, so they remain unknown.
Peskov emphasized that “it is unacceptable to make openly malicious statements that the Kremlin is responsible for Navalny's death.” He also mentioned that the Kremlin has no information on when Alexei Navalny’s body might be handed over to his family.
It is noted that according to the data from the Yamal division of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service, Navalny felt unwell after a walk on Friday, lost consciousness, and died. Preliminary reports suggest that the cause of death was a thrombosis.
