Former Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication Required to Forfeit Over 15 Billion Drams
The Anti-Corruption Court has accepted for review the 99th claim regarding the forfeiture of illegally obtained property on February 15, 2024. The Property Forfeiture Division of the Office of the Prosecutor General has filed a request with the court to seize 7 immovable properties, 1 vehicle, and shares in 2 legal entities from Haik Jshmarityan, the former deputy minister of transport and communication, and individuals connected to him on behalf of the Republic of Armenia. The total amount demanded includes 5 billion 767 million 369 thousand drams as property transferred to a bona fide acquirer or which cannot be identified, separated, or seized, and 10 billion 70 million 529 thousand drams as a residue of illegal income and funds received.
