Biden Decides to Use TikTok for His Election Campaign
The campaign team of U.S. President Joe Biden created a TikTok account on February 11 and published its first post. This was reported by Politico, as conveyed by Lenta.ru.
The account released its first video, in which Biden answers questions related to football. This move is aimed at engaging younger voters, the publication emphasized.
Additionally, Biden's team managed to join TikTok against the backdrop of heightened attention to the campaign, amid calls from the U.S. Congress to ban the social network due to its Chinese origin and 'security concerns.'
In February 2023, the White House had given federal agencies 30 days to remove TikTok from their devices and systems. This decision was made in response to fears that the Chinese government could use the app to spy on U.S. citizens.
