Moscow and Kyiv will eventually reach an agreement, and the relationships between the brotherly peoples will be regulated. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during an interview with television journalist Tucker Carlson, adding that this may require time.

"Nonetheless, sooner or later we will come to an agreement. And you know what, it may sound strange in today's situation, but nonetheless, the relationships between the peoples will be restored. It will take a lot of time, but they will be restored," asserted the Russian president.

As an example, he presented episodes from battles where Ukrainian soldiers refused to surrender, dying with the words, 'Russians do not surrender.' In this context, the Russian leader emphasized that "Ukrainians still feel Russian," and what is happening is an "element of civil war."

"In the West, everyone believes that military operations have forever divided one part of the Russian people from the other. No. Reunification will take place," Putin added.
