Current Situation on Roads in Armenia and Lars

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn province to Amberd Fortress and Kar Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass (blizzard) is difficult to navigate for full-sized vehicles and closed for other types of transport.

According to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Management Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepanstsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
