Leak from Truck Carrying 20 Tons of Octane at Customs Checkpoint
On February 9, at 15:31, a call was received at the crisis management center of the Lori regional rescue department regarding a slight liquid leak of octane from a truck at the Gogavan customs checkpoint. The assistance of rescuers was required.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service, a firefighting unit from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the leak was occurring from the valve section of a Volvo truck carrying approximately 20 tons of octane, with nearby freight trucks parked in the vicinity.
The rescuers secured the area, moved the freight trucks nearby to a safe location, and maintained supervision over the situation. The leak was subsequently stopped by local forces.
