I think the history of the Armenian people is a story of a people that has always fought to have a state, which has periodically lost its statehood but has never despaired, keeping alive the dream and idea of statehood for centuries, and at various points has regained that statehood. Fortunately for all of us, we are now living in a free and independent Armenia. What’s the problem? The Armenian people have formed in Armenia; our history is the history of Armenia. What issue is there? You are opposing the people and the state,” he concluded.
