Vahagn Aleksanyan, a member of the Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly, addressed the recent case of embezzlement discovered at the Ministry of Economy, which includes the detention of the sister-in-law of National Assembly President Alen Simonyan among others.

In a briefing with reporters, he stated that he cannot comment on the court's decision. “I cannot comment on court decisions. Please allow me to refrain from answering that question,” he said.

At the same time, Aleksanyan denied reports suggesting that there are ongoing processes within the team regarding Alen Simonyan. “Alen Simonyan is a member of the Civil Contract governing board, the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan is our teammate, and our team has no issues with him,” Aleksanyan added. He also mentioned that he did not meet with Simonyan yesterday.
