VIDEO: I Apologized; Simonyan Asks Not to Mention His Spitting Incident Again

Unlike some, I have acknowledged my mistake and apologized. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, who requested that his spitting incident not be mentioned again.

“Unlike some, I have acknowledged my mistake and apologized for the wrongful act committed in response to an insult. I call on others who make mistakes not to hesitate to apologize. I kindly ask that this example not be recalled again, because if I start reminding you, it may not be enough even if you remember 109 or 112 years of your party's history,” Simonyan said, addressing MP Armenuhi Kyureghyan from the Armenia faction.

MP Gegham Manukyan spoke from his seat, to which the NA Speaker responded, “Whether I am small or not is for the people to decide; who is small here and who is big.”
