New Details on Gunfire Incident in Goris: Identities of Injured and Participants Revealed
The law enforcement authorities have identified the participants of a brawl that occurred on February 2 at the well-known cardiology intersection in Goris, during which gunshots were fired. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
It has been established that the incident took place at the intersection on Yerevan Highway in Goris, leading towards the Armenia-France Cardiology Center. The brawl involved 39-year-old Mher Musayelyan, a resident of Syunik Province, who was driving a BMW and fired shots towards a UAZ vehicle driven by 49-year-old Nikolay Abrahamyan.
According to preliminary information, at that moment, Abrahamyan's brother, 41-year-old Alik Abrahamyan, who was driving a VAZ-2107, approached them to intervene, at which point Musayelyan also fired shots in his direction. As a result of the gunfire, Alik Abrahamyan sustained injuries including a "gunshot wound to the middle lower third of the left femur, a comminuted fracture of the lower third of the left femur diaphysis, displacement of bone fragments, and a metallic foreign body in the soft tissues at the lower third level of the femur" and was transported to the Goris Medical Center.
At the crime scene, the investigative team discovered two cartridges fired from 9 mm combat pistols and three cartridges fired from 9 mm gas pistols. Also found and presented to the investigator was a submachine gun in a polyethylene bag along with approximately 30 combat cartridges.
According to reports, the automatic weapon was seized from Musayelyan by 22-year-old Narek Abrahamyan during the argument, and at any moment, Mher Abrahamyan could have become a victim. Additionally, the knife used in the crime was taken from Musayelyan by 44-year-old Ara Abrahamyan, an ambulance driver at Goris Medical Center, and was left in the VAZ-2107 vehicle he was operating. This vehicle was also seized by the police for investigative purposes.
The police and the investigative unit are taking necessary operational and investigative measures to locate Mher Musayelyan. The investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
