43-Year-Old Woman Reports Being Abducted in Jrvej, Threatened with a Gun, and Sexually Assaulted

On January 30, around 02:15, a 43-year-old woman from Yerevan reported to the operational management center of the Kotayk regional police that she had been abducted by two men near the "Rich" hotel complex in Jrvej. The woman claimed that the men stole money from her and threatened her with a firearm, according to Shamshyan.

At the scene, she informed the police that around 00:20 on the same day, she had been approached by two unfamiliar men on Bagratuniats Avenue in Yerevan. They proposed to go to the "Mozart" hotel complex for a fee of 30,000 drams, where they would engage in sexual activities in a manner described by her as "most outrageous" under the sounds of Mozart. She agreed and got into their vehicle; however, instead of going to "Mozart," they took her to a rural area in Jrvej, parked the car, and one of the men sexually assaulted her against her will. Meanwhile, the other man pointed a gun at her and extorted 48,000 drams from her, then forced her out of the vehicle, leaving her in the field before fleeing the scene.

One of the suspects was later found and detained by police in one of the villages of Kotayk. The authorities are working to locate his accomplice, the weapon used in the crime, and the stolen money from the woman. According to sources, the woman who reported the incident is known as one of the "night butterflies."
