VIDEO: Death Toll Rises Following Ukrainian Strike on Lysychansk
Following shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces, the death toll in Lysychansk has reached 28 due to the collapse of a two-storey building, according to the press service of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
“Search and rescue operations are ongoing; at this moment, the bodies of 28 deceased have been retrieved from the rubble,” the statement said.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated that Moscow expects corresponding international organizations to condemn Kyiv's attack on Lysychansk. “Russia will inform international organizations. We expect a prompt and unconditional condemnation from the relevant international bodies,” Zakharova noted.
On Saturday, Lysychansk was subjected to heavy shelling by Ukraine, resulting in the collapse of a two-storey building. Previously, it was reported that 11 individuals had been killed due to the shelling.
