VIDEO: Shoigu Inspects Production of Kalibr and Iskander Cruise Missiles

The Minister of Defense of Russia, Sergey Shoigu, inspected the production of Kalibr cruise missiles and the Iskander system at the Almaz-Antey facility in Yekaterinburg. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

“We saw practically all the productions, and spoke with the chief designers and chief engineers. Regarding the missiles we need for air defense, we have more than doubled our capacity. I hope that the program will be fully implemented this year,” said the minister.

At the same time, he noted that there are a number of key issues that need to be resolved vigorously, particularly concerning the production of engines and launch systems.

Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, had stated that in 2023, arms production and supplies for the Armed Forces of Russia have increased by 10-12 times in several sectors. We are talking about “huge numbers.”
