VIDEO: The US Strikes Iranian-Backed Groups in Syria and Iraq

The US forces have struck more than 85 targets in Iraq and Syria in response to attacks on American troops in Jordan. This was reported by the US Central Command. According to TASS, on February 3, Central Command forces conducted airstrikes in Iraq and Syria targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds Forces.

The US military has destroyed over 85 targets, as mentioned in the statement. The Syrian Ministry of Defense reported fatalities among civilians and military personnel due to the US strikes.

The operation involved “multiple aircraft,” including long-range bombers. The attacked targets included command and control centers, intelligence hubs, and drone storage facilities, with “more than 125 precision-guided munitions” used during the airstrikes.

US authorities previously stated that American troops in Jordan were attacked by Islamic resistance forces from Iraq. According to Pentagon data, this strike led to the death of three American servicemen and injuries to more than 40 others. The United States also blames Iran for the attacks.

President Joe Biden has confirmed that a decision has been made on how Washington will respond to the attack on the Jordan-Syria border.
