Video: "The Question Will Arise: Why Have We Pumped So Much Money into Lands, Waters, Buildings?" - Pashinyan
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the quality issues of subsidy programs during a government meeting. He emphasized that substantial amounts of money are being spent and stated, "If it suddenly turns out that there are problems with the quality of work carried out, it will become a very serious problem, a substantial problem," he said, adding, "When I talk about quality, I do not mean the quality that exists globally. I mean the quality that can objectively be available to us, and we have problems. This is noticeable to the naked eye."
The Prime Minister expressed hope that there should be zero compromise regarding the not-so-high standards they have set. "Otherwise, it will become a serious issue, and the question will arise: why have we pumped so much money into lands, waters, buildings, properties, and in general," he noted.
Pashinyan underscored that there has been much talk about improving procurement laws, saying, "However, it seems we haven’t made that many improvements."
