Iran Unilaterally Abolishes Visa Regime for Tourists from 28 Countries

Starting from February 4, Iran will unilaterally abolish the visa regime for tourists from 28 countries, including Belarus, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Uzbekistan, and Japan. This was announced by Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Reza Bigdeli in a conversation with an IRNA correspondent.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has notified the relevant authorities about the established decree," the Iranian agency quotes him as saying. The deputy minister added that, based on this, "citizens from these 28 countries traveling to Iran for tourism purposes will not require a visa starting February 4, 2024."
