Investigative Actions Underway at the Ministry of Economy
The Investigative Committee of Armenia is conducting urgent investigative and other procedural extensive activities in two different criminal cases at the Ministry of Economy and in the residences of several individuals. These actions are being carried out jointly by investigators from the Investigative Committee and employees of the National Security Service at more than 15 locations in total.
This information was provided to Auroranews by the spokesperson of the Investigative Committee, Gohar Abrahamyan, in response to circulating reports about searches being conducted at the Ministry of Economy.
Abrahamyan noted that additional information would be provided as necessary regarding the details of the investigation. Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has dismissed Ani Ispiryants from her position as Deputy Minister of Economy.
It should be recalled that earlier reports indicated that Ani Ispiryants, who was dismissed from her position, was arrested by the National Security Service. It has also been reported that the head of the Public Investments Department of the Ministry of Economy has been arrested.
Additionally, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan stated during a conversation with reporters that he is unaware whether the National Security Service has entered the ministry or any other agency.
