Defense Cooperation Under Threat, Says China’s Ministry of Defense

The Chinese government will not abandon its support for Russia regarding the Ukrainian conflict despite pressures from Washington and threatened cooperation with Europe. This statement was made by China's Minister of Defense, Li Shangfu.

"Even the defense cooperation between China and the European Union has come under threat, but we will not change or abandon our established policies because of this," he stated during negotiations with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

According to TASS, the Minister of Defense of the People's Republic of China emphasized that the West cannot interfere with the normal cooperation between Russia and China. Earlier, Li Shangfu had stated that Beijing and Moscow must play a key role in maintaining stability in the world.
