The National Anthem of Armenia Should Be Changed, We Should Also Discuss the Issue of Changing the Coat of Arms: Alen Simonyan

It is evident to me that the national anthem of the Republic of Armenia must be changed sooner or later. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan.

"It should be distinctly Armenian, connected to our state and Armenian music, and comply with the rules of anthems. I do not claim that it should be replaced with the majestic music of Aram Khachaturian, which I believe is magnificent, unparalleled, and maximally Armenian, but it is clear that changing the existing foreign anthem is a necessity.

In my opinion, we should also discuss the issue of changing the coat of arms; at the very least, Armenia cannot be underwater, which represents a punishment for humanity. The lion cannot resemble a Facebook emoji, and the sword that defends Armenia cannot be chained," wrote Simonyan on his Telegram channel.
