We Can Show with Meter Deviations Where the Armenia-Azerbaijan Border Passes: Speaker of Parliament
The Armenian side hopes that the commissions dealing with the demarcation of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border will be able to succeed in their work today and in the future. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, during a joint press conference with the leaders of the parliaments of Armenia and the Czech Republic.
“We have expectations for clarity because we are witnessing that there is still an issue with the maps. The Armenian side is ready and we can show with meter deviations where the Armenia-Azerbaijan border passes, not with imaginary maps, but based on legal grounds,” he said.
Referring to the question of why the meeting of the commissions is taking place in the Tovuz-Gazakh region, Simonyan stated that it was necessary to start from somewhere, and there is no need to search for other meanings. According to him, it is important that this meeting is taking place at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
