Black Ice Reported in the 'Zanger' Section; Some Roads Closed and Difficult to Navigate

It has been reported that the roads from the 'Amberd' high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province leading to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake are closed.

In the 'Zanger' section of Sisian, there are areas of black ice. The Stepanavan and Vardenyats mountain passes are difficult to navigate for vehicles with trailers. However, all interstate and republican roads remain open, as stated in the announcement.

The department informs that cleaning and sand-salt treatment operations are being carried out on the roads. To avoid accidents, incidents, and traffic jams, drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
