Who Can Serve in the Police? The Ministry of Internal Affairs Has Made Revisions

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has issued a statement, which reads:

“In the context of staffing the police of the Republic of Armenia, revisions have been made to the medical and physical requirements presented to candidates for service in order to address several objectively arisen issues. The height requirement for candidates has been reduced from 160 cm to 155 cm, and the weight requirement from 50 kg to 47 kg. A number of professional terms have been aligned with international standards, while the described illnesses have been matched with statistical criteria for health issues. Unified requirements have been established, which apply to all police services, regardless of the types of functions defined by job descriptions.”
