Snow, Black Ice, and Fog: What the Road Situation is Like

The Road Department informs that as of January 29, at 19:40, snow is falling in the regions of Sisian, Goris, Meghri, Abovyan, Hrazdan, Sevan, and Jambarak, as well as the Vardenyats Pass.

There are patches of black ice on the roads in the regions of Abovyan, Jambarak, Ashtarak, Aparan, and Vanadzor. The Vanadzor-Dilijan road and the Stepanavan Pass are impassable for vehicles with trailers. The Vardenyats Pass is closed to vehicles with trailers. There is fog in the Tigranasheny turns, with visibility down to 100 meters.

All interstate and republican significance highways are open. Road construction workers are engaged in snow removal and treatment of the roads with salt and sand.
