Russian Court Issues Remote Arrest Warrant for Four Navalny Associates

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has issued a remote arrest warrant for employees of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, now recognized as foreign agents: Maria Pevchik, Dmitry Nizovtsev, Kira Yarmish, and Anna Biryukova. This information has been reported by the BBC.

They are accused of extremism, justifying terrorism, vandalism, and disseminating "fake news" about the military.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation is considered an extremist organization in Russia and is banned. The foundation was established by the imprisoned leader of the Russian opposition, Alexei Navalny.

According to the Basmanny District Court's decision, a measure of restraint for the four individuals was set at two months' detention, starting from the time they are either extradited to the Russian Federation or arrested within Russian territory.

It should be noted that all four activists are currently outside of Russia. Yarmish has had a warrant out for her arrest for the second time today.
