Armenia Seeks New Allies: Ararat Mirzoyan
Ararat Mirzoyan, Armenia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that Armenia is in search of new allies. During a meeting with journalists today, the minister assured that any rationally thinking society must always strive to find new alliances.
According to Mirzoyan, this is a necessity stemming from the tragedies of the 2020 war and the subsequent events when Armenia faced a situation of inaction regarding the support mechanisms from its allies, as its expectations were not met.
“Naturally, we have begun to search for new allies, primarily to address security issues,” the minister stated, while also refuting reports regarding the signing of documents related to other security frameworks.
At the same time, the minister recalled the implementation of mechanisms that have raised the level of security along the border, specifically referencing the EU mission. He emphasized the importance of partner statements regarding the territorial integrity and inviolability of Armenia's borders. “Statements against attempts to redraw borders in the region are extremely important for us,” said the foreign minister.
