We Have Never Refused and Have Always Maintained Readiness for Negotiations: Lavrov

Russia is ready for negotiations regarding the Ukraine issue, but not about how to keep the current leadership in power in Kyiv. This statement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.

“I would like to remind that we have never renounced and have always maintained our readiness for negotiations. The negotiations should not be about how to keep the leaders of the Kyiv regime in power and succumb to their fantasies, but rather about overcoming the legacy of the country’s devastating decade of plunder and the violence against its people,” the minister said while speaking at a UN Security Council meeting on the Ukraine issue.
