Tina Kandelaki's Entry to Kazakhstan Has Been Banned

The director of TNT television channel and general director of Gazprom Media Entertainment Television, Tina Kandelaki, has been banned from entering the territory of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the KazTAG agency, citing the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"If necessary, measures will be taken. Don’t ask us today or tomorrow for the list of those denied entry, but the state will never forgive this; she may not come to Kazakhstan, but if she decides to come, she will not be allowed in," the statement reads.

According to the agency, the reason for the sanctions could be Kandelaki's publication regarding the 'removal of the Russian language' in Kazakhstan. Earlier, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied reports about banning foreigners from entering the country. It has also been reported that the Kazakh authorities will continue to protect the rights and interests of all representatives of the republic's multi-ethnic population.
