VIDEO: 13 Injured in Novosibirsk Due to Heating Pipe Explosion
In Novosibirsk, Russia, an explosion of a hot water pipe in the city center has resulted in 13 people sustaining burns, as reported by the regional health ministry. Initially, there were reports of only two casualties.
“Today, as a result of a utility accident in the Lenin district of Novosibirsk, 13 individuals sought medical assistance, all of whom have first and second-degree thermal burns on their lower limbs. Two individuals have been transferred to the regional hospital's burn center. The condition of the two is stable,” the ministry stated.
Social media users have pointed out that this heating network was installed 60 years ago and was last renovated 34 years ago.
