Interior Ministry's Spokesperson Comments on Reports of Shots Fired at Bus

Recently, news outlets reported that shots had been fired at a Zhongtong passenger bus registered with the Yerevan City Hall using a pneumatic weapon.

In an interview with Armenpress, the spokesperson for the Minister of Internal Affairs, Narek Sargsyan, clarified that the ministry had received an alert regarding the incident where shots were fired at the passenger bus at the intersection of Atoyan and Erebuni streets, resulting in broken glass.

“An operational group from the Ministry of Internal Affairs police has arrived at the scene, examined the site, and taken appropriate measures. As of now, I can state that no fired bullet has been found, and no evidence of gunfire has been recorded during the investigation,” he said.

Narek Sargsyan also mentioned that law enforcement authorities continue to take steps to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incident.
