Photos: Accident on Sevan-Jambarak Road, Injuries Reported

On January 7, at 15:33, the crisis management center of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department received a report about an accident near the "Raketa" food point on the Tsovagyugh-Jambarak road where a vehicle had overturned. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"A combat unit from the special water rescue squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been dispatched to the scene. It was found that a 'Mercedes-Benz' vehicle (driver: Z.M., born in 1984) had exited the trafficable part of the Sevan-Jambarak road at approximately the 25th km and rolled about 50 meters to the lake's shore. Before the water rescuers arrived, the driver and passenger S.H. were removed from the car," the statement reads.

It is noted that the water rescuers disabled the vehicle and, in cooperation with the patrol service staff, assisted in transporting the injured to the ambulance from the lakeshore. Medical professionals assessed the injured individuals' health as severely stable, and they were transferred to hospitals in Yerevan.
