Man Arrested in Dilijan for Cutting Dog Ears; He Explained the Reason

A citizen in Dilijan exhibited inhumane treatment towards dogs. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

The police received operational information about the incident on January 3. "The police clarified that the operational information received was credible and invited a 41-year-old man, M.M., a resident of the Tavush region, to the Dilijan police station on suspicion of committing the described act," the website reports.

Under pressure from the evidence, he confessed that on December 31, in Dilijan, on Myasnikyan Street, adjacent to the culture house, he cut off the ears of two dogs with a knife. He stated that he took this step because the dogs had eaten some of his cattle meat and had torn apart another part.

It was also revealed that he kept the knife used for the crime at home. Following the act, M.M. was arrested by the police and presented to the investigative department of the Dilijan Investigative Committee, where a criminal case was initiated regarding the incident.
