Fatal Car Collision in Gegharkunik Results in Casualties

On January 3, at 18:34, the crisis management center of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department received a report of a traffic accident on the Vardenik-Zolakar highway, with casualties involved. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

A firefighting team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a 'Volkswagen' (driver P. M., born 1963) and a 'Honda' (driver E. G.) collided near the 7th km of the Martuni-Zolakar highway. P. M. died at the scene, while passengers L. O. (born 2008) and A. G. (born 1991) were taken to a medical center, where their health was assessed as satisfactory.

The rescuers disconnected the vehicles' batteries and closed the gas cylinder valves.
