Casualties of Artsakh Defense Army Due to Azerbaijani Attack, Kyaramyan Details

The Investigative Committee has initiated a case regarding the ethnic cleansing of the Armenian population in Artsakh, and the circumstances of forced displacement are being exclusively examined within that scope. This information was shared with "News" by the head of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Arghishti Kyaramyan.

"As a result of Azerbaijani aggression on September 19-20, 2023, the Defense Army has suffered 223 casualties, of whom 25 are civilians. Among the victims, there are 5 minors. The Defense Army has also recorded 244 wounded, 80 of whom are civilians, including 10 minors. There are 20 missing persons, 5 of whom are civilians," said the head of the Investigative Committee.

Kyaramyan added that there have been two dozen instances of disrespect towards corpses, and examinations of the bodies and conclusions from forensic examinations are underway.
