Record Low Anomalous Temperatures in Moscow

Leading specialist Mikhail Leus from the Phobos weather center reported on his Telegram channel about the anomalously low temperatures in Moscow. The information was relayed by moslenta.ru.

“The air temperature at the city's main weather station has dropped to minus 25.2 degrees; such frosts have not been recorded in the megapolis for 74 years,” said the meteorologist.

In 1950, on January 3, the air temperature was minus 29 degrees. However, the record for this day belongs to 1942, when temperatures dropped to minus 35-36 degrees in the capital.
