Video: Strong Wind in Lori Region Damages Roofs and Breaks Trees
Auroranews has received numerous videos and photos from citizens regarding the severe wind in the Lori region yesterday. It has been reported that residents of the town of Tashir lost electricity and gas due to the wind; today, gas service has been restored, but power is still out.
Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on December 28, the crisis management center of the Lori regional emergency department received calls indicating that roofs were damaged and trees were broken and fell onto the roads in Tashir city, as well as on the Tashir-Stepanavan and Stepanavan-Urut roads. Traffic has been completely blocked.
Emergency teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers have been engaged in demarcating areas, disassembling damaged roof structures, cutting fallen trees, and clearing the roadways.
