VIDEO: Police Stop Shahramanyan's Convoy, Details Revealed
The police patrol in Yerevan has stopped the vehicle of Samvel Shahramanyan, the last president of Artsakh, due to his traveling with a convoy and bodyguards.
The officers informed Shahramanyan that he does not have the legal right to travel with a convoy. This information was reported by Hraparak.
Auroranews contacted the Armenian police to confirm this information, and they confirmed it, stating that the stop was due to a violation of traffic rules, but no official report was filed; they merely issued a warning.
In Armenia, the right to travel with escorts and convoys is reserved for individuals under state protection, such as Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Speaker of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan, the President of Armenia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, among others.
