VIDEO. "Tigran Avinyan will not be taking his advisors and assistants home later" - Yerevan Mayor
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan addressed the issue raised by opposition regarding the number of advisors and assistants. "The Mayor of Yerevan has advisors and assistants; Tigran Avinyan does not. Tigran Avinyan will not be taking his advisors and assistants home later," he stated.
Avinyan also touched upon the staffing list of the city hall, indicating that there have not been many changes, and some positions remain unfilled. "During the discussions on changing the logic of public administration reform, we will fundamentally discuss matters such as salaries, structure, and, in general, motivation. I agree with you that people need to be motivated, and their work should be oriented towards outcomes," he said.
According to him, all regulations should be adopted by next year. The mayor noted that the city hall has approximately 30,000 employees, including those in schools and kindergartens. "The Yerevan municipality is one of the most overloaded structures in the country. In this regard, if you delve a little deeper functionally, try to understand the details, you will see that everything is organized with quite limited resources," he added.
