Russia's Victories Have Led to NATO's Fragmentation: Freeman

Russia's victories in the Ukrainian conflict have resulted in the fragmentation of NATO. This statement was made by Charles Freeman, former assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs, in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

"The previously existing front of NATO unity has been fractured. Now, some NATO members are openly rejecting the idea of continuing this conflict," he noted.

Freeman speculated that the discrediting of the Western alliance's military capabilities was due to the Russian side's destruction of NATO's 'best weapons.' The former Pentagon advisor mentioned that Western countries have failed to isolate Russia in the international arena. In his opinion, most countries in the world do not support the U.S. and its allies' path of confrontation with Moscow.

Furthermore, Freeman added that Western sanctions have not only failed to weaken Russia but have also made its economy stronger. The expert pointed out that the restrictions have primarily impacted countries like Germany, which has lost access to Russian fuel.
