Zakharova on Pashinyan's Statements

We proceed from the assumption that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will accept President Vladimir Putin's invitation and will arrive in St. Petersburg on December 25-26 for the CIS summit, where discussions will be possible.

This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova while commenting on the Armenian Prime Minister's statement yesterday, in which he accused Putin of violating the trilateral statement regarding Nagorno-Karabakh dated November 9, 2020.

“We assume that Prime Minister Nikol Vova Pashinyan will use the invitation from the President of the Russian Federation and arrive in St. Petersburg on December 25-26, where he will participate in the Eurasian Economic Union’s Supreme Council meeting and the traditional pre-New Year meeting of the leaders of the CIS member states. There, in principle, all issues of interest could be raised,” she said.

“In Moscow, guided by the allied nature of relations with Armenia, we are always ready to resolve all emerging topics calmly, professionally, and in a partnership manner,” she added.
