Russia to Open Second Consulate General in Armenia
Russia plans to open its second consulate general in Armenia. This was stated by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov in an interview with KP.ru.
“In the near future, there will be a significant expansion of Russia's diplomatic presence abroad. Decisions have already been made and coordinated with the authorities of the host countries to open embassies in Burkina Faso and Equatorial Guinea, and consulates general in Kapana (Armenia), Aktau (Kazakhstan), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Denpasar (Indonesia), and Male (Maldives). The upcoming years include plans to open diplomatic and consular representations in a number of countries located in geographical regions that have become key for us, according to the new foreign policy concept of the Russian Federation established by presidential decree,” he noted.
