Russia Extends Entry Ban on Trucks from EU, Ukraine and Other Countries

The Russian government has announced via its Telegram channel that the ban on the entry of trucks from the European Union, Great Britain, Norway, and Ukraine into Russia has been extended indefinitely. This information was reported by gazeta.ru.

The corresponding ban was imposed in 2022 in response to actions taken by the EU, which prohibited the passage of trucks with Russian and Belarusian license plates, the government noted.

The authorities indicated that the restriction will remain in effect until the circumstances that led to its imposition are resolved. However, exceptions will be made for postal deliveries, diplomatic mail, and humanitarian aid shipments. Additionally, the entry ban will not apply to trucks providing technical support intended to transport equipment and sports cars to venues for sporting events.
