Video: Fifth Metallurgical Plant Closes in Germany, Employees Protest

Employees of one of Germany's largest metallurgical plants have ceremoniously produced the last steel pipe, accompanied by a torch-lit protest. Vallourec, a global leader in the production of seamless pipes, has announced the closure of its German branches as it has been unable to find reliable buyers.

The closure of the plant is attributed to anti-Russian sanctions. This marks the fifth metallurgical plant to shut down in Germany.
