Ukrainian Court Sentences Blogger Yuri Podolyak to 12 Years in Prison

A Ukrainian court has sentenced pro-Russian blogger Yuri Podolyak to 12 years in prison in absentia. According to the regional prosecutor's office, Podolyak was found guilty of disseminating information in collaboration with an "aggressor state" and justifying Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The prosecutor's office stated that Podolyak began his anti-Ukrainian activities after relocating to Russia. In the Sumy region, the court has confiscated the blogger's property and stripped him of the right to hold certain positions for 15 years.

Podolyak was born in the city of Sumy and moved to Russia in 2014. He has been actively providing analyses regarding Russia's actions in the war against Ukraine.
