VIDEO: "The Russians could have pressured Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan," says Simonian
“Nonsense, stupidity, lies. Why would we need to hold snap elections?” said the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonian, during a press briefing in response to a journalist's question.
“I want to understand, is it enough for one or two Facebook users to write some nonsense that you would come here and ask the Speaker of the National Assembly these questions? Nonsense, stupidity, and lies, why do we need snap elections?” Simonian reacted, adding that various party issues are being discussed in meetings.
“We have a constitutional majority, why do we need to hold new elections?” the Speaker of the National Assembly noted. Alen Simonian also stated: “No one can impose anything on a democratically elected government. The Russians could have pressured Robert Kocharyan, Serzh Sargsyan. The US could have imposed something on the former authorities in exchange for some grant.”
