VIDEO: Over 33 Tons of Pesticides Sold Without Permission, Under Customs Control
The State Revenue Committee of Armenia regularly conducts oversight activities on goods imported by various companies under customs supervision. According to data obtained by the Committee's Internal Security Department, joint oversight measures were implemented at a company engaged in the import of pesticides in Armenia, in coordination with the Yerevan Customs Service Center.
During inspections of goods stored under customs control, it was revealed that the company had imported 6,730 boxes of fertilizers totaling about 83,546 kg; however, only 3,417 boxes were actually present in the facility. The remaining 3,313 boxes, weighing a total of 33,130 kg, had been sold without the permission of customs authorities.
Taking this circumstance into account, an administrative proceeding has been initiated under Article 308 and 316 of the Law on Customs Regulation of the Republic of Armenia, and the company has been fined over 38 million AMD.
