Arsen Torosyan Proposes to Allow Marriage in Armenia from Age 21
Arsen Torosyan, a deputy from the ruling Civil Contract faction in the National Assembly, suggested during discussions organized by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs to raise the legal age for marriage to 21 years.
He also proposed increasing the age at which individuals are considered adults. Torosyan supported his suggestions with numerous facts and circumstances, emphasizing the need to break down various stereotypes present in society.
