South Caucasus Railways to Provide Free Transport for Displaced Persons from Artsakh in First Quarter of 2024

The South Caucasus Railways company has extended its initiative to provide free suburban electric train services for displaced persons from Artsakh until the first quarter of 2024.

The initiative has been in effect since October 1 for citizens who arrived in Armenia after September 25 of this year. During the three partial months of the initiative, 3,200 citizens have benefited. Previously, the initiative was scheduled to conclude on January 1, but due to its social significance and in coordination with the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, the company has decided to extend it for another three months.

The right to free travel applies to local electric trains operating daily, namely: No. 684/687 Yerevan-Gyumri-Yerevan, No. 686/685 Yerevan-Gyumri-Yerevan, No. 681/682 Gyumri-Yerevan-Gyumri, No. 7010/7011 Araks-Yerevan-Araks, and No. 6512/6517 Yeraskh-Yerevan-Yeraskh trains.
