Mariam Z.
In honor of Charles Aznavour's centenary, the Paris City Hall will pay tribute to the French-Armenian artist and humanitarian by renaming a section of the Ledoyen Square located in the Champs-Élysées gardens to "Charles Aznavour Garden" in 2024.
This area in the heart of Paris will be temporarily closed for renovation and beautification, with the aim of reopening its doors to the public in the spring of 2024.
The world-renowned French-Armenian chansonnier passed away on October 1, 2018, at the age of 94. Charles Aznavour died in his home in the town of Mouriès in southeastern France.
